TOKIO - Najmanje osam osoba ozlijeđeno je u subotu u erupciji vulkana Ontakea u središnjem Japanu, objavila je japanska meteorološka agencija.
Nakon erupcije vulkana Ontakea u subotu ujutro brojni su letovi preusmjereni zbog vulkanskog oblaka koji je smanjio vidljivost na tom području.
"Sedam osoba je lakše ozlijeđeno, a jedna teže, kao rezultat erupcije vulkana", rekao je dužnosnik vatrogasne službe okruga Nagano Makoto Hasegawa. Erupcija još uvijek traje, dodao je.
Približno 250 ljudi ostalo je zarobljeno u blizini planinskog vrha, a spasilačke službe krenule su u akciju spašavanja.
"Zrakoplovne tvrtke preusmjeravaju letove kako bi izbjegle oblak pepela", rekao je Hasegawa.
Planina Ontake nalazi se 200 km zapadno od Tokija, a u njezinoj se blizini ne nalazi nijedna nuklearna elektrana.
