Stanovnici Pekinga guše se u gustom smogu nakon što je razina onečišćenosti zraka proglašena 20 puta većom od onoga što Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija smatra sigurnim. Teško zagađenje zraka navelo je Kineze da na usta stave zaštitne maske, a fotografije pokazuju jezive prizore diljem glavnog kineskog grada. U isto vrijeme u Parizu se održava summit o klimatskim promjenama.
