Maryanne and Tommy Pilling first met at a day centre in Southend in 1990 and were instantly besotted with each other. The pair dated for around 18 months before Tommy popped the question and despite criticism, the couple went on to tie the knot at St Marys Church in Shoeburyness in July 1995. Now, 27 years later, Maryanne and Tommy are still going strong and a Facebook page, set up by Maryannes sister, Lindi Newman, which follows the couples romance, has racked up thousands of followers. ., Image: 321988693, License: Rights-managed, Restrictions: , Model Release: no, Credit line: Profimedia, Caters News

Iznenadila sam se kad me Tommy zaprosio, ali nisam morala razmišljati. Tommy i ja se nikad ne svađamo. Jako volim svog muža, on mi je najbolji prijatelj.’

Sretni bračni par živi samostalno, no u blizini obitelji kako bi mogli zatražiti pomoć ako zatreba.
